Where can I park if I rent a bike?

We offer complimentary parking for all customers in our gravel parking lot. If you’re staying in Springdale, you can walk to us or take the free town shuttle.

Can I ride the bike from your shop to Zion National Park?

Yes. We are located less than a mile from the entrance of Zion. There is a bike lane along the main road in Springdale that takes you directly to Zion.

Do I need a park entrance pass if I’m on a bike?

Yes. You can purchase a 7-day Zion National Park pass or an annual National Park pass at the park entrance. If you already have an entry pass, be sure to take it with you on your bike.

Are there biking trails in Zion?

Yes. The Pa’Rus trail starts at the entrance of the park and takes you to the Scenic Canyon Drive. This is a paved trail for hiking and biking only. It is relatively flat and winds along the Virgin River. It’s a great trail for young children that enjoy riding bikes. Bikes are not allowed on any other trials in Zion.

Do you rent Ebikes?

Yes! All of our Ebikes are either Trek Allant or Trek Verve. They are Class 1 pedal-assist ebikes with 9-speed shifting. This means they pedal just like a regular bike and feel like you are riding a regular bike, but the electric motor allows you to conserve your energy, sweat less and smile more.

Can I still hike if I rent a bike?

Yes! All of our rental bikes come equipped with kickstands and locks. You can ride into Zion and stop as frequently as you would like to take photos, rest, and hike. Just park the bikes in a safe space on level ground and lock the bikes together.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

Yes, please! Not only is it mandatory to wear bike helmets in the national park, it is the smart thing to do. Protect your head, protect your brain. Helmets are included with every rented bike.

How long of a ride is it from Zion Cycles to the Temple of Sinawava?

It is roughly 20 miles round trip. There are 518 feet in elevation gain riding up 9 miles to the end of the Scenic Canyon Drive. This means it is all downhill on the way back.

How many miles can I go on a fully charged ebike?

Our Trek ebikes can conservatively travel up to 50 miles on one full charge. The bike does not recharge while you pedal. There is plenty of battery to take you 20 miles through the park even if you keep the battery at its highest level of assist. With that being said, if you happen to run out of battery in the middle of your ride, no problem, it is still a bike and is easy to pedal without battery assistance.

Do you have ebikes for kids?

No. If your child is age 12 and less than 5 feet tall, we do not have an ebike for them to ride on their own. We do, however, have a solution for our young riders. Parents can choose to rent a Radwagon, it’s a large orange Ebike designed for an adult to steer and pedal from the front seat and a child to ride on the back. We also have a variety of children's bikes available to rent that are non-electric. Children under the age of 3 would be best in a Burley trailer that we can attach to an ebike.

Do you rent anything other than ebikes?

Yes! We have a variety of bikes to rent for a variety of riding types. Our full-suspension Trek mountain bikes are perfect for exploring a multitude of single-track trails in the area. Wire Mesa trail is a 7-mile ride right from our shop or takes a 15-minute drive to JEM, Gooseberry Mesa, or Guacamole.

Preferring to ride roads, we have gravel bikes available with drop handlebars. The most popular ride is climbing Kolob Terrace to the West side of Zion National Park and taking Smith Mesa Road across the Virgin valley.

We also rent hybrid and kids’ bikes to ride into Zion National Park. Shuttle service is available for mountain and gravel bike riding."
